We are delighted to welcome as many participants form overseas to the World Community Development Conference in 2018. Some participants may need a visa to enter Ireland. This depends on what country that you are from and are grouped into five different categories (please see S.I. No 473 of 2014 for more):

  • Schedule 1 – Countries that do not need a visa
  • Schedule 2 – Diplomatic Passport waiver programme
  • Schedule 3 – Visa waiver programme
  • Schedule 4 – British Irish Visa Scheme (BIVS)
  • Schedule 5 – Transit Visas

Please ensure you have completed the correct application form and supplied all the required documentation. A full list of the different application forms and the associated documents can be found on the INIS website

Please note that the processing times for visa applications vary depending on the visa type and the Office to which the application is lodged. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that you allow as much time as possible when applying for a visa, at least 8 weeks in advance of travel in case clarifications are required. Just in case further inquiries have to be made, we advise you to apply for your visa 8 weeks before the date you plan to travel.

Please note that a Visa will not cover travel to Northern Ireland, for which you will need a separate UK Visa. You can find further information here

If you have any questions, we would recommend you to go to the following webpage:

Please note, we can only send conference letters of invitation for Visas to participants who have registered and paid the conference fee.
